Theodore Lotis trio

The Theodore Lotis Trio is a modern jazz group founded in Utrecht in October 2025. Led by guitarist and composer Theodore Lotis, the trio performs original music and selected melodies shaped by a strong focus on collective improvisation.

Rooted in the jazz tradition while remaining open in form, the group draws inspiration from artists such as Paul Motian, Bill Frisell, and Lee Konitz, as well as visual art and photography. Their sound explores space and contrast, blending lyrical melodies with abstract textures, harmonic color, and spontaneous interplay.
