Murat Ali Cengiz & Prashant Samlal

Pianist and composer Murat Ali Cengiz (TR) has been performing both solo and as a bandleader at various renowned venues across Europe. By combining music, architecture and other art forms he created projects such as ‘Musicographics’, ‘Automata’, and ‘No Musician’s Land’. 

Guitarist Prashant Samlal (NL) has been leading his own quartet which he released 2 albums with, and solo guitar project. He is also an active sideman in different contemp. jazz groups in the Netherlands. His latest album ‘Visitors’’ was released in april this year on ZenneZ Records. 

Together Prashant and Murat will be performing a concert in Touchstone, playing their original compositions which share a common love for contemporary jazz and improvisation. Their music draws inspiration from modern jazz heroes, ECM records, and different forms of art.
