About the event
On Thursday, the 11th of December at 9pm the old captain returns to the mothership bringing back songs, poems and stories from the shores of Ireland where he's now busying himself organising Poetry Strolls centred around the life and work of James Joyce and peers.
Through music, poetry, and storytelling, The Poetry Stroll brings to life the history and literary landmarks of Dublin. This meandering and wandering material is now poured into an album and a performance that will swiftly sweep through the lowlands this December. We welcome you to join us at Touchstone for an evening of Joycean songs, poetry set to music, and a few original pieces into the bargain — by singer-songwriter Remco Jacobs, a.k.a. Lotus Eater, (a.k.a. The Old Captain).
