About the event
A pocket cinema, a phantom dog and other transparent objects inspired Kraterwaan during the making process of her latest compositions. Noah Claassen allows the audience to peek into her ‘brain traffic jam’. Where the sequence of impressions in her mind is processed into music that celebrates the specialness of the everyday.
Kraterwaan – the stage name of Noah Claassen – is a vocalist and songwriter from Utrecht. June 1 she will graduate from the Utrecht Conservatory (in Jazz & Pop Vocals). Kraterwaan will play her first Try-out performance at Touchstone.
Her imaginative, Dutch lyrics express her love for language and her strong urge to connect. Kraterwaan has a quirky pop sound. In her music she finds herself balancing between light and heavy, dreamy and danceable, acoustic and electronic, transparent and cloudy, comforting and confrontational.
